The New Year is the best excuse for a fresh start, and many of us are making resolutions to motivate ourselves and track our progress. However, few people actually get creative with their goals, and most of us end up with resolutions like "going to the gym more", "eating healthier", "spending less" or "quitting smoking". These are all wonderful, of course, but you might be achieve even more if you think outside the box.
Take a look at our New Year's resolutions and see if you want to add any of them to your list!
1. Don'be afraid to part with the old
We all want shiny new things, but sometimes we forget about the fact that first we need to make space for them by getting rid of the things we don't need anymore!
2. Make time for yourself
And not just for the things that you have to do, but also for the things that you want to do. Meet up with friends more often, take long walks, pick up a hobby, do whatever makes you happy.
Simplifying and de-cluttering your life will reduce your stress levels and make everything seem easier.
4. Increase your focus
Focus is the key to success. If deeply concentrating on a single task doesn't come easy to you, learn some tricks and techniques that will help you achieve a high level of focus. You will see results immediately!
5. Take risks
No risk, no gain. Carefully calculate your risks, but don't be afraid of them!
6. Make it a point to always look good
Not only will you feel more confident, but you might also change people's perception of you for the better, which will result in better relationships and new opportunities!
7. Invest in quality
Investing in quality, in all areas of life, will pay off in the long run.
8. Don't be too hard on yourself
Many of us tend to beat ourselves up over our mistakes, which is not the best way to motivate ourselves and get forward in life. Acknowledge your mistakes, learn your lessons, and move on!
10. Put happiness first
Evaluate your goals and prioritize the things that you know will make you happy. Don't spend time on what others think you should achieve or what society tells you to do. You are your own best friend, and you should behave as such.
May 2020 be a year of happiness and success for you!
